Paragraph1: Macbeth

“stay, you imperfect speakers, tell me more” Macbeth has an extreme amount of desire to know his own fate and if it bodes good or bad for him as he does not hesitate although he may not like what the future holds in store for him since he does not question this so you could say his judgement was clouded by this feeling.

Paragraph1: Scrooge

“I wish to be left alone”Scrooge enjoys being in a completely solitary environment with no one to challenge his self opinionated ruling opinion and the comfort of his possessions is all he needs to feel content knowing he has food on the table and the poor are working in factories for next to nothing makes him feel content also the symbolism of what Scrooge considers normal for a human.

Macbeth and Scrooge both possess a formidable amount of power in each of their stories but both hove very different roles Macbeth is bloodthirsty murderer who is used to the site of war and battle and Scrooge is a man who lords over the poorer people as a tyrant who cares not about those he considers beneath him and would rather they die to decrease the population as he deems it right They both have different feelings at the start of their plays and both go through an extreme emotional metamorphosis of opposite feelings.

Paragraph2: Macbeth

“I have thee not, and yet I see thee still… art thou but A dagger of the mind, a false creation” this quote is used by Shakespeare to show the madness in Macbeths mind and the fact he is seeing the dagger he will use to kill Duncan this also symbolises the reality of the witches premonitions sinking in to his mind and how they drive him to commit these acts of murder and injustice and the effect of corruption on the ambitious mind.

Paragraph2: Scrooge

Hear me!” cried Marley’s Ghost.  “My time is nearly gone.” this quote is directed at Scrooge  from the dead ghost of Marley warning him of the fate he was subjected to in the afterlife and that he should change his ways or end up roaming the area around the bank for eternity unable to move on this creates a confliction in Scrooge and the way he should go about life from now on he realises his carelessness for human life and how he belittled those who he deemed worthless due to their emotional feeling towards Christmas or financial standing and how he was joyless in the most joyful time of the year

Both Macbeth and Scrooge experience a change loyalty to their ideals and beliefs the conflict in them both changes their opinion on the world and how they perceive the lives of other Macbeth considers all life in his way expendable and how Scrooge now believes the meaning of life is to be joyful and and be remembered for it and to be generous to those in need and that its not good what happens to the poor in those factories and how they are treated as less.
